No More Heroes.

It feels like so long ago. This time 5 years ago, everyone and there Mrs were agreeing with Nick.
Oh love.
And why not eh? He was against putting fees up and in those days, that was about all you had to do to qualify as not an arsehole. Anyway, we all know how it played out; coalition government, fees jumped from 3 to 9 grand per year, provoking the largest student protests in over a decade.

The government was able to withstand it all, largely because dynamic as ever, the British trade union leaders left the inexperienced and leaderless students to pretty much get on with it. Nice one.

Luckily, we live in a world where the Labour Party exists and they've really gone out on a limb for students, promising to only charge them £6000 per year for something that should be a human right in any case. It's a good job we have the Labour Party. I don't know what we'd do without them.

By golly, who else would ring there hands about how awful cuts in legal aid are then casually admit they'll be keeping them?  Thank Jove for Labour, signing up to the same NHS cuts package as the Tories. Love that.

Here's to you Labour, thanks for everything.

Anyway, let's not get bitter about it.These elections, Medway will experience the largest socialist challenge it has ever seen. Be a part of it!
