As it happens, a lot of my constituents are incredibly annoyed about this TTIP - which is great as, I too have a massive problem with global capitalism.
I was shocked, but not surprised.
I'm yet to come across something with an incredibly boring name like the Select Committee for Intelligence, or the Confederation of British Industry or Office for Budgetary Responsibility which isn't distilled evil masquerading as plain dull.
TTIP is no exception.
The Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership is a little bit of legislation that governments across Europe are quietly signing up to. It would allow American companies to basically come over here and have an all-you-can-eat buffet.
But instead of quiche it's the NHS. And instead of bread-sticks and dip it's your garden and a fracking drill.

Everyone who hears about TTIP is so overcome with rage, they can barely be held accountable for their actions.
Even Jamie Oliver is at it, piling in over the weird stuff they're gonna be able to do to our food!
Worse than the piecemeal sale of the remnants of the welfare state, worse than chlorine in yer chicken, is the ominously uninspiring ISDS.

A secret court made up of three corporate lawyers that lets companies sue governments if they have policies that interfere with private profits!
For example where they have this agreement already, the government of El Salvador has been sued for $100 million for the crime of telling a gold mining company that no they couldn't mine in an area that was poisoning the water. Outrageous.
It all sounds a bit too mad to be true but it's the logic of the free market. Profits are King and the Labour Party are actually fairly OK with it.
I'm not OK with it. TUSC isn't OK with it. If you're not OK with it, join the sodding fight-back, yeah?
Never organize a party and let the Buffet for last minute, be organized and have the services with 6-12 months before its celebration. As the faster you hire the more certain will be the availability of various dates as well as the decor among other details.
